تحت الرعاية الكريمة من صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبد العزيز، أمير المنطقة الشرقية، تنظم جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن، يومي الإثنين 13/06/1440هـ الموافق 18/02/2019م المنتدى السادس لريادة الأعمال، الذي يعقد تحت عنوان "أهمية ريادة الأعمال في دعم المحتوى المحلي في ضوء رؤية المملكة 2030.”
وترجع أهمية المنتدى إلى أنه يعقد في وقت تشهد فيه المملكة تطوراً كبيراً على كافة الأصعدة وتسارعاً في وتيرة دعم منظومة ريادة الأعمال وهو ما حثت عليه رؤية المملكة 2030 في دعم قطاع الأعمال، حيث نصت الرؤية أن المملكة بحاجة إلى اقتصاد مزدهر يوفر فرصاً للجميع من خلال بناء نظام تعليمي يتوافق مع احتياجات السوق وخلق فرص اقتصادية لرواد الأعمال والمشاريع الصغيرة والناشئة وكذلك الشركات الكبرى، وقد أنشأت الجامعة وادي الظهران للتقنية الذي يُعد أكبر تجمع لمراكز أبحاث وتطوير الطاقة، وذلك إيماناً منها في إنشاء وتطوير منظومة إبتكار وريادة أعمال تشاركية ,فإن الجامعة بعد تنظيمها خمس منتديات سابقة لريادة الأعمال، ارتأت اختيار موضوع "أهمية ريادة الأعمال في دعم المحتوى المحلي في ضوء رؤية المملكة 2030" عنواناً للمنتدى هذا العام.

Mr. Abdullah Althaaly

Manager of Saudi Aramco’s Industrial Development &amb; Strategic Supply department

Abdallah Al Thaaly is the Manager of Saudi Aramco’s Industrial Development &amb; Strategic Supply department. Abdallah oversees the IKTVA Program and localization initiatives, manages the long term strategic procurement, agreements and strengthening of relationships and partnerships with suppliers. Abdallah previously worked as Assistant to the Saudi Aramco Senior Vice President of the Technical Services business line, which oversees four major business areas; Project Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Engineering Services and Information Technology. With over 25 years of experience, Abdallah’s other career highlights include positions as the Projects manager for PetroRabigh and Sadara Joint ventures, he was the Director of Joint Ventures Co-ordination, Chief Operating Officer for the Saudi Aramco Development Company and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures (SAEV). Abdallah has attended the senior executive education program at the London Business School, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration both from the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.

Ahmad A. Al-Abdrabbuh is Senior Executive Vice President in Yokogawa Saudi Arabia Company since February 26, 2010. From April 2015, Al-Abdrabbuh oversaw strategic development including acceleration and maximizing local content and R&D in addition to company’s operation as a Board Director and SEVP. Prior to that, he was responsible for Yokogawa’s Engineering and Projects business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addition to other corporate consultancy and support roles including Executive Management Committee membership. He previously Held various leadership, project management, technical and engineering positions in Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company and Saudi Aramco since August 28, 1982. He Holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona - Tucson, Arizona (1988). Al-Abdrabbuh joined Saudi Aramco in 1982. After attaining the engineering degree in 1988, as Industrial Computer Engineer working under Process & Control Systems department, he progressed in various Industrial Automation engineering assignments and major projects in and out of Kingdom. In 1997, he joined Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Co. (SASREF) as Senior Systems and Process Control engineer. He held several engineering, technical support, and project management positions and responsibilities. He was the Y2K Task Force Leader / project manager, head of automation systems and process control section, senior projects leader, and major projects manager for the Instrumentation Master Plan (2001-2010). Al-Abdrabbuh served in SASREF’s IT Security Steering Committee and Instrumentation Technical Committee. He is a member of the Jubail Industrial College Program Advisory and Evaluation Committee (PAEC) for Instrumentation and Control Engineering & Management Information programs since 2011. He is a member of King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) for Systems Engineering Department since 2014 to date. He is a Founding Mentor in the KFUPM Entrepreneurship Institute since 2015 to date. He is a member of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) Electrical Engineering Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) as of 2015.

Founder and General Manager of AZR Technologies

Ahmed is an entrepreneur in the Oil and Gas sector, founder and general manager of AZR Technologies 1st Saudi Wireline Logging company and is funded by Saudi Aramco Wa’ed. Ahmed’s main responsibility is building up AZR on strong foundations and competent resources, enabling the delivery of high standard services to major companies like Schlumberger, Halliburton and Saudi Aramco, for which AZR was recognized and received Saudi Aramco iKTVA best SME award. Ahmed, prior to his entrepreneurial venture, has gained extensive well-rounded experience working on each side of the fence: as a service provider, as well as a service end user, both with major companies: Schlumberger and Saudi Aramco; where he held several technical and managerial positions, and successfully delivered high profile projects. Started in the industry as a Field Wireline Logging engineer, in charge of logging operations and data acquisition, mastering a diverse range of logging services. Ahmed also assumed other logging related roles engaging in quality control systems, advanced data processing and interpretations, as well as leading the development of new logging solutions. Ahmed holds BS in Electrical Engineering from KFUPM and MS in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London. Ahmed is an active member of “Society of Petroleum Engineers” (SPE) and “Society Petro-Physicist and Well-Log-Analysts” (SPWLA) where has published and delivered many technical papers and presentations. Ahmed also enjoys helping and mentoring new students and entrepreneurs in KFUPM Entrepreneurship Institute.

Fuad Mosa is the Vice President of Sabic’s Local Content & business development Unit – an arm of the company created to develop local content in the Kingdom according to KSA 2030 Vision. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from KFUPM in Dhahran, a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from KSU in Riyadh and an MBA degree from Thunderbird School of Management in Arizona, USA. He has over 20 years of experience in multiple fields related to the petrochemical industry. He has been assigned to several roles within Sabic including Operations, Research, Technology and Business. He contribute in more than 30 filed patent through his career. He serves as board member at many companies, Centers and institute. Before appointed to his current role with the Local Content & business development Unit, he was General Manager of Sabic Global Chemical Technologies.

Dr. Janne Virtapohja

Dr. Janne Virtapohja is an Executive, Technology Commercialization at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, KFUPM / Technology Transfer, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, TTIE, in Dhahran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is working at KFUPM on an assignment from Saudi Aramco / Technology Oversight & Coordination, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Virtapohja has worked at Saudi Aramco since 2012. In August 2009, he joined King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, KAUST, as founding member. Between years 2000 and 2009 Dr. Virtapohja served at four Finnish universities in several roles, including the Director of Research and Innovation Services. Between years 1994 and 2000 Dr. Virtapohja was a Scientist in the areas of Applied and Organic Chemistry. Dr. Janne received Ph.D. degree in Applied Chemistry in 1998. He is a technology transfer and innovation management professional with 25 years of industry, university and government funding experience, in 1994-2009 in Finland, and since 2009 in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Janne’s key areas of expertise are: technology and business development and execution; strategic business partnerships; start-up funding and creation; technology transfer office creation and restructuring; intellectual asset management; and commercialization through technology sales and licensing.

Working with Monsha’at for the past two years, currently acting as General Manager of Entrepreneurship Planning leading efforts in the creation of projects that will enable key entrepreneurship ecosystem players to develop entrepreneurship mindset and ensuring entrepreneurship culture awareness across the different social segments in the kingdom including women and social entrepreneurship. Support aspiring entrepreneurs in the ideation phase refine their business plan and model. Help entrepreneurs with very early-stage startups shape their business operations and further test a minimum viable product. Mohammed has over 11 years of work experience and deep understanding in business and technology needs of leading organizations in the market from various industries. Worked with Ernst & Young and Thomson Reuters in advising leading corporate and government organizations recommending resolutions to complex matters of significance and coordinating the implementation of the approved course of action.

Dr. Muhammad Imam

Business Incubator Director, Entrepreneurship Institute, KFUPM

Dr. Imam received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada in 2013. Since then he has been working as an assistant professor in the Computer Engineering department at KFUPM. His research interests include system logic design, network security, computer networking, and Communication Network Protocols. In August 2017, Dr. Imam was assigned as the director for Business Incubator program at the entrepreneurship institute.

Mr. Theodore Goede lll

Venture Capital at Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Ventures

Theodore L. ("Trey") Goede III is currently Head of Portfolio Management for Aramco Entrepreneurship Ventures, a $200MM venture fund launched by Saudi Aramco in 2013 to diversify the Kingdom’s economy and create high quality Saudi jobs. After participating in fund formation, Mr. Goede helped lead the fund through its first 22 approved transactions in 4.5 years. Mr. Goede also currently sits on the Board of Directors of four Aramco Entrepreneurship Ventures portfolio companies, PayTabs, an online payment services company, SafeRoad, a GPS vehicle tracking company, Geophysical Equipment Factory Limited, an oil and gas exploration and geophysical equipment manufacturing company, and Virtual Vision, an ICT services company specializing in cloud solutions. Mr. Goede is also a member of the Investment Committee for the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals’ Entrepreneurship Institute funding program, and an Advisory Board Member for the College of Engineering at Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University. Recently, Mr. Goede helped to create and launch a Professional Certification in Innovation for Saudi Aramco as an Instructor, where the class is now being offered on a quarterly basis. Lastly, Mr. Goede helped launch the registered Innovation Ecosystem Society as a co-founder and he serves on the Board of Directors. Previously, Mr. Goede was Chief Executive Officer of Affinity Wind, LLC, a wind energy development company, which he founded in 2007. After raising $1.5MM from individual investors and a major university, and then forming a strategic joint venture with turbine manufacturer Suzlon Corporation for an additional $3MM of funding, Affinity developed a portfolio of wind projects located in the United States. He was formerly Executive Vice President of River City Internet Group, LLC, a privately-held investment and holding company focused on developing, owning and operating businesses primarily in the Information Communication Technology (“ICT”) sector. While at River City Internet Group, Mr. Goede started several businesses related to technology and telecommunications, including Electric Internet, a Broadband over Power Line joint venture with a United States public utility, Ameren Corporation. Previously in 1998, he was Vice President of Primary Network, which Mr. Goede helped develop into one of the nation's largest regional ISPs before raising over $50 million to fund its growth to offer local and long-distance telephone and DSL services. In 1999, Primary Network was recognized as the fastest growing technology company in the St. Louis area, and the thirteenth fastest in the United States. Mr. Goede was recognized by Fast Forward/St. Louis Business Journal as one of the publication's “30 under 30” business people, twice recognized as one of the Most Influential St. Louisans (2011 and 2012), along with Who’s Who in Energy honors in 2012. Mr. Goede served on Missouri Governor Bob Holden's Information Technology Roundtable Committee and contributed to a Battelle Memorial Institute study related to technology. Mr. Goede has served on a number of Boards including Affinity Wind, Ameren Pure Power, FinServe Tech Angels, Boston College Energy and Environment Alumni Network, Missouri Department of Economic Development-Energy Sector, Missouri Association of PACE Professionals, Cultivation Capital (Entrepreneur In Residence) and River City Internet Group. Mr. Goede was an adjunct professor in the Business School’s Entrepreneur Department at St. Louis University from 2004-2012, the 7th best Entrepreneur program in the United States. Dr. W. Bernard Carlson

Chair, Department of Engineering and Society, Joseph L. Vaughan Professor of Humanities, University of Virginia.

Bernie Carlson is the Joseph L. Vaughan Professor of Humanities and Chair of the Department of Engineering and Society at the University of Virginia. He also holds a joint appointment with the History Department. Bernie studied history and physics as an undergraduate at Holy Cross College, received his Ph.D. in the history and sociology of science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984, and did his postdoctoral work at the Harvard Business School. As a historian of technology, Bernie has written widely on invention and entrepreneurship as well as on the role of technology in the rise and fall of civilizations. His publications include Innovation as a Social Process: Elihu Thomson and the Rise of General Electric, 1870-1900 (Cambridge University Press, 1991; paper 2002) and Technology in World History, 7 volumes (Oxford University Press, 2005). In 2008, Technology in World History was awarded the Sally Hacker Prize from the Society for the History of Technology as the best book aimed at a broad audience. It has since been translated into Korean. With support from the Sloan Foundation, he recently completed Tesla: Inventor of the Electrical Age. Published by Princeton University Press, the book is being translated into Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Croatian, and Serbian. An audio edition was released by Audible in January 2014. Tesla was selected as one of the best books in science for 2013 by both Amazon and the American Library Association’s Booklist and it is currently a semifinalist for the Royal Society’s Winton Prize for popular science writing. In addition to his books, Bernie has filmed 36 lectures on "Understanding the Inventions that Changed the World." These lectures were released on DVD by The Teaching Company in September 2013. Bernie directs Engineering Business Programs at UVa and teaches a course on “Engineers as Entrepreneurs.” For over a decade, he was a consultant on history and knowledge management to Corning Incorporated and has served on the governing boards of several professional groups related to history, business, and engineering, including the IEEE History Committee, the Business History Conference, and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. He recently finished a five-year term as Executive Secretary for the Society for the History of Technology.

Dr. Wajeeh O Moughrabiah has a Bachelor & Master Degrees in chemical engineering from KSU in Riyadh and PhD degree in chemical engineering, in electrostatic charge generation in fluidized bed reactors, from UBC, Vancouver, BC, CANADA. More than 20 years of experience in various fields related to the petrochemical industry. And more than 8 years of experience in human resource learning, training & development. He has held several positions in SABIC in various departments. He has more than 4 patents registered during his years of service at SABIC Research Centers. He is a certified trainer at SABIC in self-development, creativity and innovation courses. He is an advisor to the King Abdul Aziz and his Companions Foundation for the Advancement of Talent and Creativity and chairs the Arbitration Committees at the National Olympiad for Research and Innovation "HBDA’A" since 2014 tell now. He is a member of the College Curriculum Development Committee at the Colleges of Chemical Engineering in Saudi Universities. A certified trainer from the Deanship of Skills Development at King Saud University in self-development courses and the development and advocating of talents and creators. He was the Global Director of Polymer and Elastomer Research and Technology Management prior to his appointment this year as Director of the Local Workforce Development Department of the Local Content and Business Development Unit, concerned with the development of local national content in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enable the vision of the Kingdom 2030. Dr. Zuhair Malaibari

Director, Entrepreneurship Education Program, Entrepreneurship Institute, KFUPM

Dr. Zuhair Malaibari achieved his PhD degree in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo Canada in 2011, specializing in the area of catalysis and catalytic reactors. Since then he has been working as an assistant Prof. in the chemical engineering department at KFUPM. During that period, he taught several chemical engineering courses and showed high interest in improving University teaching and learning methods and environments. Dr. Zuhair is an affiliate with the University teaching and learning center, helping them in offering workshops and seminars for junior faculty in subjects such as: active learning practices, student centered learning, teaching portfolios, integrated course design…etc. In August 2017 Dr. Zuhair was assigned as the director of the entrepreneurship education program at the entrepreneurship institute. He is working on improving the recent program, and developing new trends in entrepreneurship education. Among these trends was the NUSAHEM program with SABIC Company. Which was launched by the entrepreneurship institute in February 2018 to enhance the Kingdom’s local industrial content. Dr. Zuhair enjoys interacting with students; he believes that students inspire him as much as he inspires them
